Worship Service
Begins at 10:10 AM in the sanctuary
Worship is at the center of our faith formation here at Weatherly.
Come into our sanctuary and experience the rich flow of light and love from the stained glass windows that surround you. Worshippers are invited into a traditional service that also seeks to be creative and authentic. It is led by strong musicians, a Chancel choir, a mix of clergy and laity through a variety of voices so that the full body of Christ is represented in our offerings of worship.
We encourage children to participate in worship alongside their families and our whole faith community. Worship resources are available to help them focus on the themes of worship as we sit, stand, sing, and pray together. Nursery and Children’s Church are available during worship for babies through 1st grade. You know your child best, so bringing quiet activities or books into the worship space to help them participate is perfectly acceptable
This is the kind of environment you’ll walk into on a Sunday morning, greeted with a Warm Weatherly Welcome.
ALL, and we mean all, people are welcome, affirmed, and invited to participate in the life of the Church. When you enter the narthex for worship you will be greeted, offered coffee or tea, and a printed worship guide so that you know what to expect.
Faithfully Thinking
All are encouraged to participate with mind, body, and spirit in a variety of opportunities to grow and learn. We bring our whole selves into worship spaces and meld critical thinking skills with a desire from our hearts to experience the grace of God. You are invited to study Scripture and topical discussions through Sunday School classes for all ages offered prior to worship.
Progressively Baptist
All are invited into the historically Baptist traditions of our faith community, encouraging the priesthood of the believer, the autonomy of the local church, believers baptism-being “dunked” but we welcome and affirm your baptism if it is different, and religious freedom meaning separation of Church and State.
