Weatherly Heights Baptist Church

Plan your visit

You Are Welcome Here

It takes courage to explore a new church and it isn’t easy to walk into a brand new place. Worship at Weatherly begins each week with a Welcome from one of our Deacons who typically reminds us all that “at Weatherly, we are boldly inclusive, faithfully thinking, and progressively Baptist.” We don’t want there to be any mistake about that. You do not have to be like anyone else to be here, just be yourself! Weatherly is a place where you can bring your whole self to church. We desire to have a diverse community whose faith is centered in Jesus Christ and where our heads, hearts, and hands are all engaged.

Sunday Mornings

9:00 a.m. Sunday School is spiritual formation for all ages.

10:10 a.m. Worship is uniquely liturgical, traditional and warm and inviting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I enter?

You may park behind the church off Cannstatt or Dortmund Dr. and enter the double doors under the breezeway into our educational wing. You may park in the front of the church or across the street (Cannstatt) at Weatherly Elementary and enter through the narthex into the sanctuary.

You may wear whatever is most comfortable to you. You will see others wearing slacks or khakis and a button down shirt, dresses, or jeans and a blouse. Dressy or casual attire is appropriate and welcomed.

Contact the church office or email one of the ministers. We are happy to chat with you.

We have handicap parking spaces as well as wheelchair accessibility in the front of the church building, along with an elevator inside to get to the second floor.

There are personal hearing amplifiers to help those who need assistance in the worship service.

If you wish to reserve space in our building please contact the church office for more information and to check availability.

YES! Your children are welcome to participate in all areas of the life of the church, including the worship service. If you prefer, we have childcare for babies through pre-k during the worship hour. We have children’s church for K-1st during worship, and we have Sunday school classes for all ages. Children’s bulletins are available each week.

We fall under the traditional worship style where hymns and choral anthems are the norm. Our ministers wear robes and stoles that match the season of the church calendar-which is always noted in your worship guide each Sunday, Green for Ordinary Time signaling a time of spiritual growth, for example.

Inside the weekly worship guide you will find a tear out where you can see various ministries to get involved with. When you fill this out, we’ll get you in touch with the right people or you can meet with one of the ministers on staff and we will help you discern where your gifts meet our community’s needs. Check out our Serve page for more information.

Anyone interested in membership may share their desire with a member of the ministerial staff. At which point, we will invite you to a conversation to get to know one another and the church better. A person becomes a member in one of the following ways:

By profession of faith & baptism, that is by professing faith in Christ and requesting baptism (getting dunked); Or by letter of transfer (a Baptist thing), that is by requesting a letter from your previous Baptist church confirming membership; or by your statement of faith, which means sharing a personal verbal statement of your prior Christian experience and baptism.
